Immediate Steps in a Life-Threatening Emergency
Ensure Safety: Check the scene for hazards to yourself and the person in need of help. 
Call for Help: Immediately call emergency services (like the local emergency number in India). 
Check for Responsiveness: Gently shake the person and ask if they are okay. 
Open the Airway: If the person is unresponsive, tilt their head back and lift their chin to ensure the airway is clear. 
Check for Breathing: Look, listen, and feel for breathing for no more than 10 seconds. 
Perform CPR: If the person is not breathing, begin chest compressions (hard and fast in the center of the chest) and give rescue breaths (if trained) until medical help arrives or the person starts to recover. 
Treat Severe Bleeding: Apply firm, direct pressure to the wound. If bleeding persists, elevate the body part if possible.
